HOW LONG WILL MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?
Several factors affect the longevity of lash extensions: home care, timespan of natural eyelash growth cycle, skin type and skin care regimen, makeup routine, and much more.
Your natural lashes shed every 30 to 90 days. Expect to lose 1-3 on a regular basis. The extensions will shed with the natural lash, if still attached. Every effort is made to find the best care & products suitable for you and your lifestyle.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET MY LASHES TOUCHED UP?
Following a full set, fills/touch-ups are recommended every 2 - 3 weeks.
WILL EYELASH EXTENSIONS MAKE MY LASHES THIN AND NOT GROW?
Eyelash extensions are completely safe when applied properly by a skilled and trained professional. Each natural lash has a length and weight limit. It is very important to follow the proper guidelines to maintain the healthiness of the natural lash.
CAN MASCARA BE WORN WITH EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
It is best NOT to wear mascara on your lash extensions. Keeping your lashes clean and free of buildup from mascara, eyeliner, and any other eye makeup will offer the best wear.
WHEN IS A WAXING SERVICE NOT RECOMMENDED?
When using any Retinol, Retin-A, Renova, Adapalene, Avita, Tazorac Avage, Proactiv(e), Differin, Strivectin, and Accutane these medications/products affect the skin natural barrier and increase the rate at which your skin exfoliates.
The following ingredients/products can also affect waxing services: glycolic acid, lactic acid, benzyl peroxide, salicylic acid, alpha hydroxyl acid, vitamin A, prescribed exfoliating scrubs, antibiotics, hormonal medications, radiation and/or chemotherapy drugs.
Skin that is sunburned, laser burned, active breakouts, and recent chemical peel/microdermabrasion on the area being serviced will not be waxed. Diabetics must contact their physician before receiving a wax service.
HOW LONG DOES MY HAIR NEED TO BE TO GET WAXED?
Hair needs to be at least ¼” to ½” long for the wax to grab the hair. For most people this means waiting 2-4 weeks from the last time you shaved. Longer the hair, better results.
SHOULD I TRIM MY HAIR BEFORE I GET WAXED?
No. The longer the hair, the better the wax will grab it and the smoother your results will be.
DOES WAXING HURT?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but you can expect a short, stinging sensation after the hair is removed. If you are worried about being sensitivity, a numbing cream is available as an add-on.
WHAT KIND OF WAX DO YOU USE?
Two different types of wax are used, hard and soft.
HOW DO I PREVENT INGROWN HAIRS?
Ingrown hairs are thin hairs that cannot push through the skin resulting in inflammation and cannot be prevented. The best way to treat ingrown hairs is to gently exfoliate 2-3 times a week and follow aftercare instructions verbatim. A variety of products are available at the salon to help with this condition.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET WAXED?
This varies depending on area of body being waxed and individual hair growth. On average Brazilian waxing is every 4-5 weeks and facial waxing is every 3-6 weeks.
WILL MY HAIR STOP GROWING BACK ALL TOGETHER?
No, but it will become sparser and have a finer texture if you wax on a regular basis.
WHAT IS EYEBROW TINTING?
Eyebrow tinting is application that utilizes a semi-permanent dye to enhance, shape, and define your brows.
HOW LONG DOES TINTING LAST?
Tinting can last on the hair up to six weeks. Several factors affect exactly how much time you can go in between treatments, such as: skin care regimen, type of makeup remover used, sun exposure, sunscreen use, and hair growth pattern.
